Refund Policy
Your rights as a consumer are important to us. This policy outlines our refund and withdrawal procedures in compliance with EU consumer protection law.

1. Right of Withdrawal
In accordance with the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and its implementation under German law (BGB §§ 312g, 355), you have the right to withdraw from any contract concluded with Insight 42 UG within 14 days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period begins on the day the contract is concluded (i.e., the date of purchase). To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision by means of a clear statement (e.g., an email sent to our support address).
Withdrawal Period: 14 calendar days from the date of purchase.
2. Digital Content Exception
Please note that under Article 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive, the right of withdrawal may not apply to the supply of digital content which is not supplied on a tangible medium if the performance has begun with your prior express consent and your acknowledgment that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal.

3. Free Trial & Subscription Cancellation
All paid plans (Monthly, Yearly, and Yearly Team) include a 45-day free trial. During the trial period, you will not be charged. You may cancel at any time before the trial ends to avoid being charged. We will notify you before the trial converts to a paid subscription.
Monthly Subscription ($14.99/month)
You may cancel your monthly subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to the service until the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for the remaining days of the current billing cycle.
Yearly Subscription ($149/year — 1 device)
If you cancel a yearly subscription within the first 14 days and have not waived your withdrawal right, you are entitled to a full refund. After the 14-day withdrawal period, cancellation will take effect at the end of the current annual billing period. Pro-rated refunds may be considered on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.
Yearly Team Subscription ($299/year — up to 5 devices)
The same cancellation and refund terms as the Yearly subscription apply. Upon cancellation, all devices associated with the team plan will retain access until the end of the current annual billing period.
Lifetime Deal ($99 one-time — via AppSumo)
The Lifetime deal is a one-time purchase available through AppSumo. Refund requests for Lifetime purchases must be directed to AppSumo in accordance with their refund policy. As a one-time purchase, there is no recurring billing or cancellation process.
Free Plan
The Free plan is available at no cost with limited usage (1 use per day, maximum 2 in 24 hours). No payment information is required and no refund applies.
4. Refund Process
To request a refund, please contact us with the following information:
- Your full name and email address associated with the account
- The date of purchase and order/transaction reference number
- The reason for your refund request
- Your preferred refund method (original payment method is the default)

5. Defective Digital Products
Under the EU Directive on Digital Content and Digital Services (2019/770), if the digital content or service you purchased is defective, not as described, or fails to meet the objective requirements of conformity, you are entitled to:
- Have the digital content or service brought into conformity free of charge
- Receive a proportionate reduction in the price
- Terminate the contract and receive a full refund
The statutory warranty period for digital products is two years from the date of delivery. During the first year, the burden of proof lies with us (the seller) to demonstrate that the product was in conformity at the time of delivery.
6. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
This refund policy is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany and the applicable regulations of the European Union. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights as a consumer under EU or national law.
In the event of a dispute, you may use the EU Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are committed to resolving any issues amicably and encourage you to contact us directly before initiating formal dispute proceedings.
